Tuition and Fees

Tuition at Leaves is based on age and the number of hours a student is enrolled per week. Families pay only for the 34 weeks LOL is in session—not for breaks.

How Tuition Works

Tuition consists of two rates:

Non-Instructional Time

$9/hour

Lunch, Study Hall, Before Care, Free Choice, Tutor Room

Instructional Classes

Varies by age

The more classes taken, the lower the hourly cost

This means each child in your family could pay a different rate depending on their age and schedule.

Compare the published annual tuition examples for listed schedules. These are not personalized quotes or payment-plan amounts. Confirm custom schedules and applicable costs with the school.

Lunch add-ons are shown separately and are not added automatically. Registration, materials, family-job fees and additional care may apply. A dash in the chart means no separate lunch add-on is listed; it does not establish that lunch is free or included.

View the school’s published charts (checked September 16, 2026) or confirm your family’s costs.

All three charts show published annual tuition examples, not personalized quotes or payment-plan amounts. Lunch add-ons are separate; a dash does not mean lunch is free or included. Confirm your family’s schedule and applicable fees with the school.

Registration

Class registration is completed in Sawyer on a first-come, first-served basis. Sawyer is where families choose classes, pay the initial material fees for those classes, and sign basic agreements such as family policies and the Tuition Contract.

After registering, families use FACTS to choose a tuition payment plan and securely add the payment information used throughout the program year.

Membership Fee

$125

Per student

Material Fees

~$50 avg

Per class, due at registration (non-refundable)

Advanced Class Fee

$100-$200

One-time fee for honors/advanced classes

Other Fees and Expenses

  • Books: Class dependent
  • Family job opt-out fee: $30-$300 per year if you choose not to volunteer (see below)

Family Jobs

To keep tuition rates at a minimum, we require every family either to be responsible for a specific job or to pay a family fee. The fee enables us to hire others to perform the needed work and is billed monthly.

Each job is assigned a "point value" based on effort required (points are not equal to hours). Families choose their jobs online over the summer at SignUpGenius. For families with more than one child, add enrolled classroom hours for all students to determine your total.

Fee/Point Schedule by Enrolled Class Hours

  • 1 - 3.5 hours 2 points or $30/year
  • 3.75 - 6.5 hours 5 points or $75/year
  • 6.75 - 9.5 hours 10 points or $150/year
  • 9.75 - 12.75 hours 15 points or $225/year
  • 13+ hours 20 points or $300/year
